Bison steak is a delicious, lean, and healthy alternative to beef. While it can be a bit more expensive than other cuts of meat, bison is very versatile and easy to cook.

Here are a few tips for cooking bison steak:

  • Choose a cut of bison that is at least 1-inch thick. Thinner cuts of meat will cook faster and are more likely to dry out.
  • Bison steak can be cooked using any method that you would use for beef, including grilling, pan-frying, or broiling.
  • If you are grilling or broiling bison steak, it is best to use a marinade or rub to help tenderize the meat and add flavor.
  • Bison steak should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-high heat. If you prefer your steak more well-done, cook meat to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Allow the steak to rest for 5-10 minutes after cooking before slicing into it. This will help the juices redistribute and make the thickness of the steaks more tender and flavorful.
